The first home match of the season saw a ten man Tingley team defeat the Lions 8-2. Despite a couple of bright spells at the beginning of the first and second halves the Lions had no answer to Tingley's play.
Defeat was made worse by the behaviour on the pitch and off by some of the Lions team abusing the referee.
Not all was doom and gloom though with decent preformances from Rose, Capitano, Berry, Mason and Bilbey and Parsons in goal but team play was what let the side down.
It is a shame also that the behaviour reported above overshadowed any positive aspects of the Lions performance.
