9 Oct 2006 - Maskill Magic not Enough to Save Lions
Despite some incredible saves performed by keeper Dominic Maskill, earning him Man of the Match, it was not enought to put the Lions through to round two of the Challenge Cup.
This time managing to muster a full eleven but with no substitutes the Lions led twice upt to half time with the score level at 2-2. In the second half however the side faded as has so often been the story this season. Although te Lions had chances it was Tingley who took the game by the horns and the score would have been greater had it not been for the performance of Maskill in net and some lucky (for the Lions) misses.
Three weeks now to the next match gives the Lions time to work on weaknesses and will hopefully see players returned from unjury.
