1 Nov 2006 - Re-building

As you are all aware we have had a disappointing start to the season due in no small part to the loss, since the end of last season, of five experienced players (one third of the squad), exacerbated by injury, illness, suspension and holidays (and I?m not suggesting people shouldn?t go on holiday!). Fortunately we now have new players but it will take time, patience and hard work to rebuild the team. The players now need to show the same determination, commitment and character that they did in our very first season when we were in similar circumstances. They got through that season and were a stronger team because of it.

I am optimistic that their performance and playing will improve but it won?t happen overnight. It is vital they do not get disheartened by defeat but still do their very best in each and every match and concentrate and learn at training.
