15 May 2007 - Lions given 'Special Award'

Cross Gates Lions U13's have been awarded 'Most Sporting Team in the League' by the Garforth Junior League and invited to attend the Annual Presentation Evening at the Frontier Club, Batley on May 23rd.

Coach, Mark Elwen, said, "This has been a very difficult season for the team and I am extremely proud of them for earning such an award. They have shown that, despite adverse results, they still play fairly and in the proper spirit of the game - which to me is every bit as important, if not more so, than winning."
